The best way to get around this bohemian beach town is by bicycle.

The beach is about 5km out of town, and while the cab fare is only about $10, we opted for a bike rental. We picked them up at the start of our week and we found them to be very reliable. With highway traffic and only a few traffic lights, cycling in town is a little precarious. But to get to the beach there is a safe path that runs parallel to a nature reserve. (Read: jaguar inhabited JUNGLE!)

Your cycle will come in handy to go grab some street tacos at our favourite spot here, or venture all the way to the end of the beach road to hit up Pablo Escabar’s Casa Malca for a cocktail.
